Rafting/Kayaking Sun Koshi

The Sun Koshi offers worl class rafting whitewater and is rated as one of the top ten rivers in the world for rafting Expeditions. Rising close to the Tibetan Border and travelling an unbelievable 290km, the river truly is an Expedition with some big volume grade IV rapids to be enjoyed, untouched Nepalese village and and steaming jungles pass by with waterfalls to enjoy a bath. A perfect mix of relaxation with some big rapids to spice up the day.

Where will you be going:

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu, Pre Departure Meeting.

Day 2: Depart for Lamosangu, Raft the Upper Sun Koshi/Bothe Koshi with good grade IV rapids. Stay in Resort.

Day 3: Raft the Sun Koshi (III).

Day 4: The "Meatgrinder Rapid2 (WWIV) will be the highlight with easier grade III rapids in between.

Day 5:"High Anxiety" and it´s pre series of rapids will give some good photos. We will camp close by.

Day 6: Harkapur Village and the biggest rapid, conviniently named Harkapur II will be the highlight. Big waves and some interesting lines will be part of your day.

Day 7: Jaws, Rhinrock and many others, the Sun Koshi now is breaking through the Mahabharat mountains and will offer some good whitewater.

Day 8: Rest Day.

Day 9: The Jungle Corridor, continous whitewater and plenty of remotness.

Day 10: A quick float will get us to the take out. Transfer to the Airport after a quick lunch. Depart for Kathmandu.

Day 11: Sightseeing, Rest in Kathmandu.
